Sorry, you can’t actually buy Dacia’s Love Machine

Early yesterday morning I got a Google Checkout cancellation notice on account of adult material. So - sorry, but DLM isn’t for sale right now. Neither are my tee shirts (just got a new batch in yesterday) or book, and I’m not going to even attempt to sell copies of The Bi Apple anymore.

Hello Audacia,

Thank you for your email. I understand you would like your Google Checkout account reinstated. As stated earlier, the products or services you’re selling on your website are considered ‘Restricted’ per our policy- Adult goods and services.

Since your website currently does not meet our policy requirements, your Google Checkout account cannot be reinstated. We recommend that you use another payment processor for processing your sales.

When we develop our program policies we focus on providing a positive user experience while adhering to various legal considerations. Our goal is to create fair, consistent, and adaptable policies.

Further, we review our policies regularly and make changes to keep them current and effective.

Google reserves the right to exercise editorial discretion when it comes to the types of products that can be sold using Google Checkout, as noted in our programme Terms of Service and content policies.

Google also reserves the right to cancel orders that are found to be in violation of Google policies.

We appreciate your understanding at this time.

Sincerely,

The Google Checkout Team

I’m not sure if all the companies I’ve been dealing with lately and getting smacked down by on account of adult restrictions are just getting more restrictive, or if I’m getting more high profile and thus warrant a smackdown. Or some frustrating combination of the two.
