Portfolio update!

January 16, 2006

At long last! Here’s the first half of my portfolio update. There are six sets, and a total of 25 new pictures, which include red suspenders, twine, body paint, boxing gloves, mud, a computer monitor on my head, and a frilly dress..

Check it all out here.

I have to know, did the ropes hurt? About how long were you tied up like this? Just my curious mind wanting to know.

The twine was itchy, but it didn’t hurt. I’m not really tied up per se - I wound the twine around myself so I had control over how tight it was.

(and - what post have you been coming back to read?)

Damaged Goods.

There are things that happen in our lives that we think no one else would ever understand. No one would “get” why we feel certain ways. I relate to that post, I see someone might “get” me should I ever decide to share.

I used to have it copied and pasted in a word document and I read it every day. Then I decided it was more fun to come here and read it. Not every day, but when I need to. When I need to feel someone might understand.

It appears you really click when working with Brian Rawson. His ideas seem interesting and it looks like you work very well together. His shots of you are very flattering, you look great in them. I can’t say I’m a big fan of the glossier, slicker shoots - I don’t think they do you justice.

The set you shot with Logan Grendal also has a very nice feel to it. Very old Berlin kind of looking flavor. Really good sensibilities at work there.

The Rupani set caught me off guard at first but, it is very beautiful the longer you look at it. Nice textural feel between the impression of the twine and the body paint. You get a sense of depth and shape, the color scheme of the shots gives them a very sinewy mood.

I’d like to see more of the Coulter set. The leopard knee highs work well (as did the leopard heels), maybe it means trying more work with animal prints? I don’t know.

Coulter has worked the Carlton Arms to death though - it’s anything but sleazy at least compared to what it once was. The rooms may be small but, it’s a unique place. I think it has as much to do with the mood of Coulters’ work as does his eye.

PJ, thanks so much for your awesome comments. I do kinda agree with your assessment of the more polished stuff; its not my favorite work to do.

The set with Bob Coulter was actually not shot at the Carlton Arms (most of their rooms are crazy painted), it was shot at a much lower rent place in Brooklyn.

Ahh! They’re fantastic! The last in the “dead farm” has to be my favorite! Your body looks so good, so healthy, so wholesome, so sexy and symmetrical! I love it. I’m so glad you shared these..

I love your work, Dacia, you are a really good model. It is hard to choose my favourite shots from such an excellent portfolio, as they are all quite superb, but the work with Brian Rawson, the bondage and mud shots are probably my favourite. Quite stunning!

I saw met you (or rather saw you) today at bluestockings, with Ann’s class. I began modelling a year ago, and very much by myself… Your thoughts, spoken, written, and otherwise manifested are of great value to me. Thanks and happy blogging.
