Upcoming awesomeness – travel! public appearances!

This upcoming year promises to be a crazy one, and it looks like I’ve got the first few months mapped out when it comes to travel and speaking engagements.

I’m finishing off my year with two screenings of The Bi Apple at Monkeytown’s Porn Week, which kicks off tomorrow in Williamsburg at 58 N 3rd St (btw. Kent & Wythe). My film will be screening in it’s full length glory on Saturday, December 22 at midnight (so I guess technically that’s early on the 23rd) – and why yes, that is Global Orgasm Day, so it’s apt. Porno Jim is doing his show and a screening of Hookin’ Up right before The Bi Apple, so I’m in good company. The film is screening again, with a shortened 25 minute version on Thursday, December 27th at 10.30 pm, after my dear Jamye Waxman presents her Personal Touch: Sex School talk and screening of bits of her film.

In the new year, I’m headed to Las Vegas for the Adult Entertainment Expo – I’ll be there from Tuesday, January 8th through Sunday, January 13th. I’m pretty excited about going this year, mostly for the porn family reunion aspect of it, but I’ll be going with the intent of doing some business and talking shop with a select few fabulous people.

A week later I’ll be headed to San Francisco for the Sex::Tech Conference Focus on Youth, where I’ll be speaking on “Social Media and the Power of Peer Sex Education” in a panel with Regina Lynn, Cory Silverberg, and Pastor Karl White. I’m still a little on the fence about it, but after a few days in SF I may continue on to Los Angeles to check out Love LA – we shall see.

February should be fairly quiet, except that I’m curating a solo show for Molly Crabapple at Arena Studios, which is set to open on Friday, February 8th.

March is a real doozy of a month. I’ll be getting my first taste of South by Southwest, where I’ll be speaking on Lisa Vandever’s “The Porn Police: Know the Rules” panel. Then, just days after I come back from Austin, I’ll be on a panel on sex work and labor issues at the Left Forum. At the end of the month I head to Boston to present my talk “Sex Workers and the Media” at Women, Action and the Media. And then, a mere two weeks later, I’m off to Atlanta to be the keynote speaker at Sex 2.0 on April 12.

Damn. I’m excited (and a little tired and stressed) just thinking about all that.

What I Did on the Internet This Week
On Live Girl Review, I reviewed my pal Jennifer Lyon Bell’s short film Headshot, women’s website The Erotic Woman, and the narrative film The Jammed. For my Inside Dacia’s Dirty Mind posts, I fawned over Cindy’s handjob/tit-fucking/dick-licking abilities and praised Sabina Leigh’s boobs enough that it made her blush.
